On May 6, 2016, Diné College will celebrate its 47th commencement ceremony at its main campus in Tsaile, Arizona. This year, College officials expect 208 students to be conferred with their bachelor’s and associate’s degrees, including those who have earned certificates. The ceremony is held annually at the Tsaile campus and includes graduates from each of the six locations in New Mexico, Shiprock and Crownpoint, and in Arizona at Window Rock, Chinle, and Tuba City.

The commencement ceremonies will include the first graduating class of students who earned their baccalaureate degree in business administration. The B.A. in business administration is the latest addition to the Colleges’ baccalaureate degree program in conjunction with the B.A. in elementary education. Altogether, the College will confer 17 baccalaureate degrees, eight earning their B.A. in business administration and nine earning B.A. in elementary education.

This year, the College invites Attorney General of the Navajo Nation Ethel Branch as the commencement speaker. Ms. Branch formerly served as an attorney whose work extends into Native American Communities as an advocate and advisor. Commencement is open to the public and is a free event.

Graduation at the Tsaile Campus has been carefully coordinated and we advise everyone to use our website as a tool to navigate the graduation process and attending the Commencement Ceremony.
