Documentary Featuring Dr. Fowler Premieres in April

 

Navajo Math Circles, is a documentary that explores the unique an successful teaching methods used by Dr. Henry Fowler to teach math to students on the Navajo Nation.  The documentary is set to premiere in Arizona with two showings in early April.

On April 3, the film will premiere at 3 pm at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona. On April 6, the film will premiere at 9:45 am at the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, Arizona.  The filmmaker and Dr. Fowler will be present at both screenings.

The film made a world premiere on January 16 at the Joint Mathematics Meeting, dubbed as the largest mathematics meeting in the world.  Since then, the film has been on a national tour, which includes screenings from the Midwest states to the West Coast.
