Diné College Attends Advocacy Week in DC

TSAILE, AZ- Diné College administrators and select students are in Washington, DC as part of the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) Tribal College and University (TCU) Advocacy Week from February 8 -11, 2016.

The delegation joins 37 other TCU's in the Nations Capitol in urging their state legislative leaders to support a collective higher education agenda. The Colleges will converged on Capitol Hill on Tuesday and Wednesday to visit with their respective Congressional representatives through meetings set up by AIHEC.

Diné College will also use this week to gather support for the Diné College Act of 2015, which is due to be introduced into Congressional legislation this spring. The Act of 2015 will replace the Navajo Nation Higher Education Act, which expired in 2014.
